Last Sunday night, when i was still on good terms with all of my friends, we out to this little skeezy bar on the outskirts of town, just so we could dance. Well that night i found more than what i bargained for. As i was standing around and watching cute couples dance and twirl around i couldnt help but feel someones eyes on me. When i slowly turned and looked in the direction of the stares i noticed a very cute 6'3, blue eyed, blonde haired man staring and smiling back at me. I looked down then looked up again and he was still staring. As a matter of fact he only looked away briefly every so often. Well i was getting kinda frustrated because this man would not come and talk to me!! So i got my girl friend and i linked arms with her and i told her to "strut her stuff" and come to the bathroom with me and the plan was to walk right past those guys. Well we did, and he watched every move i made, checking me out hardcore, that even my guy friends noticed. Well when we came back we stood around just chit chatting and i asked one of my male friends why he wouldnt come up and talk to me and he said, it was because i was surrounded by three guys and another girl sooo i got all the guys to go play pool while me and my pal stood there chatting. FINALLY from across the room he made a hand gesture asking if i was with one of my guy friends and i shook my head NO and he came over. We talked for a bit and then he asked me to dance. We basically danced every song until we had to leave and we exchanged numbers and i've been talking to him ever since. I think i may like this man. He is a smartass and doesnt put up with bullshit, he is a take charge kinda guy and he has his shit together. He has a job, his own paid for truck, and a house. The only problem SO far, is that he is a bit older. How much older you ask...about 7 years older. Yes thats right the cutie from the bar is 26 going on 27 and i JUST turned 20. sigh....
i guess my question is, do you think a relationship can work with two people who have such a major age gap? should i walk away from the dance hall cutie or should i give him a shot?? it really doesnt matter what you have to say lol cause i've already pledged to be exclusively dating him and only him, even though we arent boyfriend / girlfriend we are exclusive. which is kinda bull and kinda sweet at the same time ha. More about this topic later..

Awwwww! Ok, let me first say that he is younger than me (I'm 27), and I think he'd have to be at least, say, 45 to be considered man-cougar material. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe age gap between y'all is not huge at all! Plus, I like older guys for the simple reason that we girls mature faster, so the slightly-older guys are more on our level.
Anywho, as to your wondering whether it will work, I present 2 cases to you: First, Jesse and I are 13 years apart, but have been happily dating for nine months! :) Second, my aunt and uncle are 25 years apart (!) and have been married for over a decade. Age is one of those things that is only an issue if you choose to make it into one.
I am happy to read about this guy! He sounds great. Hopefully he provides you material for many happy posts soon. :D
awww thanks girl :) you made me feel a lot better! i was slightly nervous but now i feel much better. im glad other people can make it work, it gives me hope! we'll see how things go with him eeek!
