He arrived on time in his silver mustang, got out of the car and greeted me with a hug and shook my mom's hand. **Brownie Points**
we arrived promptly @ Saltgras Steak House, but there was an 1 1/2 wait...soo we took the little beeper thingy and decided we'd have dessert before dinner. A man after my own heart, dessert before dinner ahh soo dreamy ;)
as soon as we got back to Saltgras our beeper went off like crazy, perfect timing. As i grabbed his arm we walked into the resturant hurrying to get out of the frigidly cold air. As I browsed through the menu i had no idea what to order...soo many choices. Soo after numerous minutes spent perusing the menu we decided that we would order for each other. He ordered me pork chops. I must admit, i am not the biggest pork chop fan out there. So its safe to say i was a little disappointed when he ordered that. But when it came out and i tasted it...Oohmygod. The best f-ing pork chops i've ever tasted. melt in your mouth...amazingness! Yeah soo maybe he did do a good job on ordering for me and i gotta say pretty cute idea, ordering for each other. It was kinda sweet and fun.
After dinner we decided to head to the movies and he let me pick whatever i wanted to see soo of course i picked a chick flick! We ended up seeing Dear John, a girl friend of mine got me to read the book, soooo i had to go see the movie hehehe. Well the book was obviously better, but i wont get into that or how much i wanna punch Savannah in the nose.. No, No not today. Todays Post is about the date lol not how much i could punch Savannah, from Dear John in the nose. Well we got pretty cozy in the theater. We cuddled up next to each other and held hands, it was pretty romantic despite the hundreds of people in the theater with us.
After the movie ended he took me home and we chit chatted some. It was a pretty great night despite a few awkward silences. He is a bit shy but he is a total gentleman and i would definitly go out with him again, if he asked...
BUT
...im not sure he'll ask...*sigh* here is the sad part. When he was dropping me off at home, i leaned over to hug him and give him a kiss on the CHEEK and to thank him for a lovely evening well i guess he thought i was gonna kiss him on the lips and he kinda freaked out a bit. He said and i quote, "it's the first date, its the first date!" yeah...but then after that mess...he held my hand for a minute and we said our goodbyes. Ugh rejection. Or at least it kinda felt like it. After mulling it over and talking to a few girl friends...and yeah maybe a few guy friends too lol i learned a few things....
1. Never Kiss On A First Date
2. Dont Make The First Move
3. Maybe he is old fashioned & maybe i should be more old fashinoned too
4. Texas Angel needs to redo her game plan on dating so that i attract the right kinda men and dont SCARE off the good kind by being too forward...Sigh
5. Be Patient - not just in dating, but in life in general.
Dating is complicated ugh, but im getting better! I hope i get the chance to have another date with mystery man, he is a total sweetie! & i promise this time i wont be a floozie and try to kiss, even on the cheek. What do you say Mystery Man? Another date?? eh? eh?? Well, we'll see.
Kisses
Texas Angel
Well that sounds like an awesome evening! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I wouldn't sweat it, the kiss-on-the-cheek thing. As long as you let him know you didn't mean to kiss him on the lips, it'll be fine. And I think he'll ask you out again!
